Adopt A Street

Thank you for your interest in our Adopt A Street program. Troy's Adopt A Street is a program of Keep Troy Beautiful and the City of Troy to help in making our City a cleaner, more attractive, and welcoming community. Keeping Troy Beautiful takes volunteer action and continued work and pride in our community.
Through the Adopt A Street program, caring citizens take part in preserving and beautifying streets throughout the City. A wide range of participants, like non-profit and community organizations, schools, clubs, teams, churches, businesses, and individuals, adopt a street or streets for one year to remove litter and debris from the adopted street or streets at least once a quarter during that year. Participating groups may also wish to initiate special beautification projects (ie. planting flowers, working with land owners to clean up unsightly private property, etc.).
The benefits of the Adopt A Street program are significant:
- It serves as an educational tool against littering and contributes to the City's commitment to create a more livable and sustainable community.
- It helps advance economic development, tourism, and quality of life for all of our citizens by improving the appearance of our community.
- It increases neighborhood pride and could increase neighborhood value.
- It provides a clean environment, gives civic pride to the community, and serves as a reminder not to litter.
Also, remember studies show that people litter less in clean neighborhoods! Join today!
