Historic Resources

The historical, cultural and aesthetic heritage of the City of Troy is among its most valued and important assets, and the preservation of this heritage is essential to the promotion of the health, prosperity and general welfare of the people of Troy. The Comprehensive Community Master Plan and the Downtown Plan-Vision 2026 both state the importance of historic preservation. The Planning and Community Development’s historic resources program provides information, guidance, and policy knowledge to citizens, property owners, elected leaders, and other community partners interested in designating, protecting, and adaptively reusing Troy’s historic places.
