Government

The Troy City Council operates under a mayor-council form of government. This involves the mayor, who serves and is elected at-large, and 5 council members who serve single-member districts. This municipal governing body began serving in 1985 and they strive to provide Troy citizens with positive and progressive leadership. As a result, Troy, Alabama continues to grow and develop into a great place to live and work. The Troy City Council meets on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month, at Troy City Hall, downstairs in the Council Chambers. Meetings are held at 5:00 pm.
